The Private Cask Program defines the intersection between ancestral craftsmanship and exclusive ownership. For the first time in 2026, we are releasing a very limited number of "new make" casks for those who wish to see their own spirit age to perfection.

Become the guardian of a 200 litres cask and shape the history of our distillery. This program offers total immersion in the maturation process, reserved for the most discerning connoisseurs.

1. Creation and Filling

You are invited to the distillery in the Eastern Townships for a private session with our Master Distiller. You will thieve samples directly from candidate barrels, exploring nuances of oak, finish, and maturity until you find the one profile that speaks to you and would like to see mature.
OR
You can participate to the creation of you whisky, and have the unique opportunity to fill your own cask. Choose your filling date to mark a significant moment in your life.

2. Maturation and Maintenance

While wood and time do their work, we look after your investment. 

Your chosen cask is moved to our reserved "Heritage" section in the rickhouse. Over the years, nature and wood will do their work. You will be invited to sample your cask or receive annual sensory reports on its progress.

  • Storage and insurance: 10 years of secure storage and insurance included in your package.

  • Quality monitoring: The condition of the barrel is checked for a minimum of twice a year.

  • Right of Visit: Enjoy bi-annual visits to see the evolution of your cask in the rickhouse.

3. The Exclusive Experience

When you decide the spirit has reached its peak, we begin the bespoke bottling process. We handle everything: luxury glass bottles and custom labels designed in consultation with you. Optional individual cases are available.
 

As a member of the program, you benefit from exclusive privileges:
 

  • Distillery Tours: Priority access and guided tours for you and your guests.

  • Tasting Events: Access to special events and sampling sessions reserved for cask owners.

  • The Privileges: Lifetime VIP status at Distillerie des Cantons and invitations to events.

4. BOTTLING 

Your whisky may be bottled after a minimum maturation of three years, allowing it to develop its first marks of distinction.
 

When the time comes, you will design your own private label to create an exceptional bottle that is a true reflection of you.
 

Cask ownership may be transferred to a third party, subject to the completion of the necessary administrative formalities.


Once bottling is complete, you may choose to keep your oak cask, giving it a second life in your home.

RESERVE YOUR PLACE IN HISTORY

Due to the artisanal nature of our production, only a limited number of barrels are made available each year.

Casks starting at 6,000$

The initial price covers the filling spirit ("new make") and the use of the barrel. Bottling fees, private labeling, excise duties, and taxes will be payable at the time of bottling, once the whisky has reached its full maturity.
