The 2022 Year in Review

Updated: May 4

The first year is coming to an end for the Distillerie des Cantons project.

We have accomplished a tremendous amount of work, and this transition period between Christmas and New Year's is always a time for reflection for me. Here are the biggest moments and achievements that stand out to me from 2022:

  • First, I discovered fantastic and passionate people. The team coming together to create the best whisky in the world is impressive!

  • We have 55 hectares under cultivation, and seeing our beautiful rye fields growing this fall left me speechless.

  • We chose our still supplier, Revival Stillworks from Vancouver. Passionate people who are 100% dedicated to producing high-quality stills.

  • The architects at Nature humaine did a fantastic job with the Shed and the main distillery building; they are now working on the cellars and the warehouse.

  • Our file for the CPTAQ public hearing on February 1st is well prepared, and our expectations for a ruling in our favour are very positive.

I am really looking forward to 2023 to move on to the construction phase of the distillery. It will surely be another year full of twists and turns and emotions, just the way I like it!
