The Casks: The Secret to Our Whisky's Flavor!

Hello everyone!

Today, I am incredibly proud to show you our very first casks!

Here is what makes them so special for the creation of our future spirits:

• The Wood: These barrels are made from North American Oak.

• The Char (Heavy Toast): The coopers used a very specific technique. They applied a lower flame to the inside of the barrel, but for a longer period of time. This gives it a great heavy toast and a deep char that creates a beautiful "crocodile skin" finish on the inside of the wood.

• The Barrel's Key Role: This is exactly where our whisky will extract all the essence of the wood. This prolonged contact is what will impart its aromatic profile, its woody flavor, and those distinct notes of vanillin.

The cask is an absolutely integral part of whisky making. In fact, it is what gives the whisky a large part of its final flavor!
